The referee Elif Karaarslan and the referee’s supervisor Orhan Erdemir received a penalty from the Turkish Football Federation in the context of the video clip of the intimate scene of the two people spreading on the Internet. Both receive a penalty at the highest level of banning their lifetime practice.
The scandal has made Elif become the focus of the media, with the number of followers on social networking accounts soared. In just a short time, Elif had nearly half a million followers on Instagram. Determined to take advantage of this large number of followers, the former referee has launched a paid registration system, providing exclusive content with only 0.96 euros per month.
Not only was eager to become an influential content creator in Türkiye, Elif also attracted attention when receiving unexpected gifts. Through social networking accounts, Elif shared photos of gifts from the 1969 Sport Marrin Club.
“I want to thank them for this unexpected gift. I want to congratulate Marrin 1969 Sport again for being promoted to the Turkish second division as the champion. Wish you all the best.” Still according to Elif, the referee is the enthusiastic fan of Marrin Club 1969 Sport.
